Going to be interesting to see if they adapt their messaging to be more explicit about who their beneficiaries are, or just stop soliciting in CA. Seems like a good chunk of their donations could come from CA, so it'd be a big loss. Ma

Oh good, so when Apple goes live with its Gemini-Siri mashup, I won't have to adjust to anything since neither of them works.

If they cared about families, they'd enable iPads to support multiple users. I guess they realize that people will just buy more iPads rather than abandon the ecosystem.

Oh sure, I see those posted all the time in threads about paywalled articles. I assumed if it wasn't linked in this thread (like it usually is) then it didn't work for this site.

Is there a way to read these articles without creating a subscription? This is the second 404media post to make the front page in the last day, and I don't understand if the commenters here actually happen to be subscribers and can rea

Yes I know...it is not posted in this thread. In light of that, I am wondering if this conversation is happening amongst people who did not actually read the article.

This makes me want to download their app even less. And at 400+ MB, it wasn't exactly at the top of my list.

I was surprised at the volume of comments given that it's paywalled. It made me wonder if others had actually read the article or were just commenting on the headline.

This is wild. My Wordle journey was that I stopped doing it soon after it was acquired by the NYT, after doing it pretty regularly for a few months. The funny thing is that I do other NYT puzzles with my wife most evenings, but we don'

How is anyone reading this article? I hit a paywall and didn't see how to read the whole thing.

This is crazy. I assume they'll never block people 100%, especially since their app is over 400MB (just to download, not including any cached data). At that size, I'll certainly never download it!

I am mostly using Gemini, but that's a decision I made 2-3 months ago. I try my best not to hint at what answer I am hoping for/would benefit me, and I play devil's advocate as much as possible.

Pricing seems high. The soundbar is substantially more expensive than the Sonos Arc, and when you add in a subwoofer it's $2k. Considering that soundbars aren't really a replacement for surround sound, this seems like a lot of cas

Yeah, not really. I get notifications when a camera spots anyone, but I don't have any triggers based on that. I have a couple different brands of cameras, but when an alert comes through I just tap on that to open the relevant app, if

I've heard of Homebridge before and looked into it briefly. But I never quite understood the appeal. Is the main benefit that you have all your cameras in one place, or you can trigger scenes based on non-HomeKit devices? I find it to
