Poor science reporting. Did the study address possible causes of correlation such as people who get poor sleep being more prone to both heart failure and melatonin use? Or people with cardiovascular problems being more prone to poor sleep?

Reducing emissions, even to zero, isn’t enough any more. We have to remove the excess carbon dioxide that’s already in the atmosphere if we don’t want the planet to continue heating for centuries to come. The removal is what people claim so

I have astigmatism and prefer dark mode. I decrease my monitor brightness and contrast when sitting in low light, though, to avoid the stabby feeling. It’s uncomfortable enough in dark mode but headache-inducing in light mode.

Fearmongering about the alignment of AGI (which LLMs are not a path to) is a massive distraction from the actual and much more immediate dystopian risks that LLMs introduce.

Try consuming less caffeine, regardless of source. The jitters are from too much. So are the crashes. And you’ve probably built up a tolerance to the focus-inducing effects. You may have a tough time the first week or two after weaning down

Custom scroll bar widgets (as opposed to custom styling) are pure evil. Typically they don’t respond to mouse and trackpad scrolling the same way the user’s native OS widgets do, and that makes them awkward and miserable to use.
