Obfuscated in some way implies that it's reversible, which simply means that it's just going to take a little bit of time to unobfuscate the database--in other words, it's probably not worth it. Hashing an email address would be pointless b

The point that the article makes is that OddMuse makes a horrible project hosting system. It's easy enough to store a link to github, or bitbucket, or gitorious (and in all reality, they all speak git, so it's just another remote) as the

Totally agree about Gitorious, but I think it'd be wise to support GitHub (and Bitbucket) as they are used by a large chunk of people.

I think I misunderstood this whole thing! The tutorial was rewritten to make use of bootstrap instead of blueprint. Not the rails tutorial site was rewritten to be designed using bootstrap. It all makes sense now.

fair enough, but I still question why a tutorial needs to be rewritten to make use of a different CSS framework. Are there that many people forking this tutorial that they want something cleaner to work with? I just don't get it.

I also just found movgrab which seems to work fine. With youtube, I've been using yturl and doing mplayer `yturl url` and that's worked fine, unless my connection is spotty. If movgrab doesn't work right I'll try youtube-dl--thanks!

I hope that the macro system he's working on bares some fruit. Personally, I've always liked explicit-renaming macros, as they provide you the benefits of both hygiene and (almost) the convenience of defmacro. But, the pattern language of
