I agree 100%, and that's the answer to OP statement - it's not enough to just wish that the market is different. Someone needs to put their money where their mouth is. Currently, the only company willing to bet enormous amount of

Is there any reference/confirmation for all of this? The fact that the author types "Swift" under quotes and doesn't know that refcount is something inherited from Objective C and the whole OS rely on it makes the rest o

I think that the real prize Epic is after is introduction of independent app stores. 30% tax is just a convenient vehicle they're using for that (not mentioning that they pay that tax on consoles without a word).

No, it's not. But a) for some reason, most vocal people are the one doesn't like any change at all (how many times we see posts and coments glorifying Windows 2000 ui as a pinnacle of UI design?) and b) this site become a copy of

Can we just say that the new iPhone 12 is $850, $830 if you don't want the charger, and finish with this nonsense? The amount of drama around $20 charger from people able & willing to pay premium product is astounding.

I think that some of points are valid - especially the direct contact with the consumers. But the grand prize that Epic wants, the ability for anyone to put App store on iPhone, I hope that will never happen. I don't care about Epic,

I spent three years making iOS programs in Swift, which uses Foo! and Foo?, and never, NEVER, missed question or exclamation mark. Even if I did, the compiler would complain.
