Maybe, but having a 4 year old I'm happy to be called a helicopter parent with regards to casino type content. When he is older, yes I'll need to pull back a bit :)

Looks good. Definitely something to consider. I agree it would be nice to have an alternative to my iPhone, I fear it is only a matter of time before we have lots of tears and a broken screen.... :)

Thanks foir the suggestion. He just uses my iPhone which I lock, but if disabling wifi doesn't work I'll try this approach instead.

Having a 4 year old son I am the first person to put my hand up and say I absolutely HATE ads and general in-app purchases for games that he likes to play on my iPhone. In some cases the way these are implemented it is almost akin to being

Looks awesome, albeit there isn't much to read about it. So to the big question in my mind: is this something everyone can rely on? Or will this be another google experiment that doesn't go anywhere?

I know it is novel to talk about blue collar workers working alongside phd grads who are specialists in this field... but surely any good system which needs to deliver a quality outcome needs to be built with domain expertise, in this case

Totally agree. I now sigh when I see another article on Medium. It's just so damn frustrating - I come to read the article, I don't want be encouraged to share it before I have even have had the opportunity to read the first p

I don't think that is the case at all. From a practical perspective many people probably choose to stay connected (particularly in the southern states) to ensure they have a reliable energy supply over winter. Sure you could guarantee

I thought that too, but further down the article it seemed that wasn't the case. I'd like to see the split of age vs tabs and spaces. I'm with a few other people that may say experienced programmers prefer spaces as it causes

I agree. Never sign up clients on a monthly arrangement until you have a decent amount of IP available that is readily re-useable. That way your value proposition for a monthly fee is that it effectively acts as an extended warranty, and sa

I disagree. I'd say older people have more networks, more experience and more resources, hence will find less comparative benefit in giving away precious equity to YC (etc) than young people who need all the above. It could be said tha

I'd rather see a median figure than an average. A single ultra successful person's income will make up for a full suburb of people who are struggling using averages.

Awesome! I wasn't aware of that and did briefly google for one a while back. Hopefully I can migrate, the $5 bill every month, while not expensive, is becoming a bit annoying now as the value exchange simply isn't what it used to

I bought a Kensington dock, I think it is the model I linked to below, but I paid way less for it on amazon. Works great. https://www.kensington.com/au/au/4491/33972/sd3500v-universa...

You got it in one. I'm very happy with my pro4, so no need to upgrade. It is perfect for meetings and quickly doing work on the move. I will never[1] go back to a standard laptop, my desktop does the heavy lifting. [1] Never say never

My pro 4 works perfectly fine. I'm just a desktop apps junkie (sales mainly) and so there is no real reason to upgrade. That said the new pen's deeper resolution is impressive, as I switched (primarily) from Evernote to OneNote an

I love my Pro 4. This video won't convince me to upgrade, but I'll be a tad jealous of every new starter at our firm who gets assigned one!

I'd love a bitcoin miner that doubles as a household heater. Imagine turning the heater on and making money from it. But it would need to look like a standard household heater, and operate as quietly as one too. If you want to make one

The financial impact of this is an interesting angle to me. Considering that many of us hope to retire (or at least not have to work a stressful job) a lot of effort goes into saving up enough money to last just ~20 years after finishing
