You're burnt out bud, same thing happened to me... If you're mid six figures you have the money to take a couple months off. It might feel lazy or wrong initially but just do it.

I've taken a year off before and it was great for the most part. The first month or two I hardly touched a computer, I spent time with my family and a lot of time in nature. After a couple months I started getting sucked back in, I l

It wasn't a political problem, it was a ratio problem. Dealing with more than a couple PMs in a single day is maddening.

Can we add PM(s) as a response... That's what led to my last departure from a FAANG company. I was sick of dealing with non-technical PMs who had no idea what they were talking about.

Oh doctrine, those were the days... I spent a couple years working on a project that was eventually rewritten in rails because there was a memory leak that required restarting the server ever night via cron.

Totally doable, I work for a large (public) corporation in the bay area. I dropped out of school about 10 years ago. Take contract gigs, hustle and grind. It sounds like you just need to prove yourself.

I interviewed there a couple years back. They had a pretty "startup" vibe, pay will be nothing close to google and COL in DC is very high.

I remember hitting a deer as a kid. My parents called the cops because it was hurt but not dead, when the cops showed up they called a charity, killed the dear and fed some people in need. Kinda makes sense IMHO.
