I don't understand why clicking the black bar doesn't bring you to the post. Every time it's added to the site, this question follows it on the front page.

I agree with this. I thought I had aphantasia the last time I read about it here. Then I started interrogating all of the people who claimed to “visualise” things and it turned out we were all doing the same thing - conceptualising in our “

I was going to comment on this too. I notice this happens with what feels like more traditional plastics - what exactly is going with these? It feels like over time they are breaking down and liquefying, or releasing their oils?

Thanks for the summary. I assume this will go up the chain of appeals etc. and on to the EU courts if needed?

I might be naive, but this is absolutely outrageous. What laws allow a private company dictate what IPs can be banned across an entire country? Are the ISPs voluntarily cooperating or are they now all obliged to follow LaLiga requests?

I was going to write a similar comment. Think of it like music; anyone can copy a song but creating a unique song is another story. To be a good artist you need to have a particular vision of the world and be able to express that. The same

I use stashes like I would use a shelf above a workbench - to put things for a few minutes while I clean up. I think it's a nice feature.

Just like Netlify, it looks like Vercel is now transitioning to a credits-based pricing structure. Your subscription now only gets you a set amount of credits and you start paying when you go over. It’s completely unclear what a credit actu

What are some Plex alternatives? I never wanted a Plex account in the first place but remember being forced to set one up to continue using the app.

Personally it's the mentality of a CLI-tool over an IDE-tool. I found Cursor's approach very distracting. It's always there making autocomplete suggestions and always available in the sidebar. This means you have lower-qualit

Exactly. I don't know if they've gotten better, but I worked on a headless Contentful + Gatsby site (because the previous developers got sucked into JAMstack hype) and it was a comedic catastrophe. It required constant developer o

Does this include any code base you are running Claude Code with (where parts of code are sent as part of the context)? I'm not hugely clear on how my private codebase is exposed to Claude in the first place when using Claude Code.

I believe Copenhagen has this too now. I visited in the same week they were launching the system (last year?) and it worked perfectly. All you had to do was press a button on your phone as you enter and leave the station and it automaticall

I mentioned this is another comment, but for me one of the big positives is nothing to do with the model, it’s the UI of how it presents itself. I hated at first that it wasn’t like Cursor, sitting in the IDE. Then I realised I was using Cu

Yes certainly. I’m sure Cursor would do a good job. That said, I think that the differing UIs of Cursor (in the IDE) and Claude (in the CLI) fundamentally change how you approach problems with them. Cursor is “too available”. It’s right the

I’m not sure I agree that I’ll never look at the code. I think it’s still important to know how the code is working for your own mental model of the app. So in this case I’ll be testing and reviewing everything to see how it’s implemented.

Complete agree. It’s a core skill of a good developer. What’s interesting is that in the past I’d have started this process but then jumped into coding prematurely. Now when you know you are using an agent, the more you write, the better th
