Buy why do one group prefer some things over others? Is it because that’s what’s been available to them, that’s what they’ve been told to like etc.? I’m not going to enjoy Computer Science if I’ve never been exposed in any way to computer

Great link. What assets do Wikipedia have? Looking at that, they’ve made a “profit” every single year. Do they use this to purchase assets (as obviously non-profit can’t distribute profits)?

Another vote for Dropshare. You can use a custom domain with Dropbox Spaces too for nice URLs for your uploads. Dropshare can also generate landing pages for you.

This seems to be a sensationalist headline. Their revenue is up and they are spending a lot to expand into new markets, hence their losses will be high. > Revolut’s revenues increased sharply to £163m in 2019, up from £58m in 2018. >

To answer my own question, the currently unfolding story of Anthony Levandowski might be one, although I don’t imagine there is a definitive article or piece about it yet. Another must be the story of Silk Road and Ross Ulbricht.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure as a writer it's frustrating to get glib replies so apologies. I read your article late last night so didn't give it the time it deserved. I re-read it this morning and it gave me a lot to think

You could try Craft CMS. It has a UI layer for configuring your content and is much more flexible then the likes of Wordpress. It’s got a nice publishing experience which makes it easy for clients and it has a GraphQL API built in so that y

Yes screen recording is built-in, but something like Screenflow allows you to do a lot more, for example adding other audio or video (like camera for example), adding transitions, effects, annotations etc. This won't be important if yo

Is this related to my original comment or a different one? I agree with this by the way, I think that it's definitely a part of the discussion.

This case has nothing to do with income taxes. In Ireland we actually pay more than Germany with the additional USC taxes (which is essentially income tax in disguise).

Is there any concensus at all on how global corporations _should_ pay tax? These sort of cases illustrate how institutions think they _shouldn't_ handle tax, but it's not clear to me how we apply tax to a globalised economy? It&#x

Also a big fan of Screenflow. I find it so much easier to record a quick 5 minute screencast when trying to get a point across.

I'm not sure if this is a minority opinion, but I'm happy to pay $70+ for AAA games. I'm currently playing through Last of Us II on PS4 and will have gotten 20+ hours entertainment from it, not to mention that it's just

Yeah I tried timing first but it was hard to get right. The weight of the desk affects it and it also goes down quicker then it goes up (not sure if that’s common with all desks - I would assume so). You also can’t use the regular up/d
