Then just google for doudou instead of doo-doo, and pronounce it dow dow...

They probably started small, found a cute name in French, for their French users. (and there is nothing cuter than a doudou! try to google it!) They even give a solution for the sensitive Americans: call it "dow dow" and forget ab

Qt is not bad. I got interested in libui ( https://github.com/andlabs/libui ), but it stalled a bit, after a couple of months of very promising activity.

As far as I know, PNG does not support CMYK nor spot colors. Nor clipping paths. For print, there is not really an "open" alternative that is as good as TIFF.

I almost never use any of the "shortcuts" explained. And I wonder if it would be worth learning them. They look much more cumbersome than the alternatives, I use in my everyday work. I have to admit, that -- at some time in the pa

The town where I previously used to live had a similar concern. It's a small European town, with a University and a few other higher schools. The houses in some parts of town were split in smaller and smaller units to maximise the rent

Sorry to tell you, but you're 100% confirming my opinion. Drivers as you (I suppose you are describing the way you're driving), are in my eyes the most dangerous on the street. They probably won't be causing the most accident

This post shows two huge flaws in the way car traffic works: - You don't have a right to drive at 70 km/h! It's the upper bound! - Cyclists are seen as obstacles and not as road users. I don't own a car but sometimes hav

i'm quite happy with the xps 13 developer edition and debian testing. hidpi is not handled well in some (or many) applications, but the window manager (or linux as a kernel) has no problem with it. (and i still have very good eyes) the

I don't think so. We need designers that are willing to engage in the project and work hand in hand with the programmers. In close feedback loops. What you are suggesting will very likely lead to what https://news.ycombinato

Sadly, my experience is that the number of designers that are willing to contribute is small, even if lot of them are ready to complain about the state of free software. The saddest part is that when they dare to contribute, they simply cre

Well, the LibreOffice 5.1 (well Writer...) "desktop" looks OK on this Mac... Some dialogs are less stylish (Edit style), but most are just OK. They are not specially fancy but do not look ugly either. To me, it looks like a solid,
