another thing to do would be to buy out symbian. with mobile phones threatning to mete out the same treatment to desktops, as was done by desktops to main-frames in the not too distant past, it might prove to be quite useful.

what a nice article ! i have had similar experiences (total of 8 years in barbados + us of a), and when my kid came along it seemed unfair (on my part) to bereft him of his roots. after some soul searching, we came back...

actually, exodus from yahoo might be good for ms+yahoo (no severance etc.) and for google too (good talent) and ofcourse as you mention, nice startup environ.

what would it make it _much_ cooler would be some way to tie in protocol-state-transitions with packet-structure to have machine generated protocol-parsers.
