That's been my experience of Gradle too. It's always been slower than Maven for me. In any case, 90% of build time is unit tests for the projects I've worked on, so switching tools offer minimal benefit in that regard.

I'd choose an Eizo over LG, definitely.

I got the CamLink 4k, for use with a 4K camera (Sony AX33). Unfortunately, the HDMI out is only 1080P. So yeah while it works it doesn't feel like much of an upgrade over my aging Logitech C910.

Rumour has it that the imitation 'Camlink' products overheat and cut out. Probably solvable with the addition of a heatsink if true.

Mac/iOS-only rules these out for me before I even get to the price. I still believe in an open ecosystem for audio, and have the desire and need to use headphones on ANY equipment I choose. I use cans for video calls primarily, with li

That's good news. I know there was some flip-flopping over this because of covid and gov sites requiring old encryption. Great to hear that it's now done with.

Surprising that they don't - the London Met still use mounted officers.

I'm for this. Any computer capable of running FF83 is powerful enough to use HTTPS everywhere. What it doesn't do, is force good TLS - there's nothing to stop a site using a weak algorithm, SSLv2/3, or old TLS versions

When there's executable code there needs to be encryption. JS HTML CSS WASM etc ...all need to be tamper-resistant. Processing power, meh. More of an issue is older devices not getting the updates to software for the newer algorithms,

Interesting idea, but who and how? Let's say I want to sponsor the Servo project because I believe it's something the world needs. There's no obvious way to financially contribute to the project or to individuals other than r

I'd pay for a supported product. I'll not just donate randomly into Mozilla, because that doesn't let them know what aspect of their work is useful to me. I don't want Pocket. I don't want VPN. I'd pay for Fire

Formerly known as "Read It Later", it's a reading list service. You save pages for later reference. There's subscriptions to unlock features. I loved RIL but Pocket is but a shadow of what it once was. Similar to Evernot

I'd pay hansomely for Firefox but only if the funds go into development, not into fat cats wallets. I'd also pay to remove junk like Pocket, or rather I'd consider paying for Pocket as a separate service. It irks me that it&#

Bethesda has become formulaic, with the elements of gameplay virtually the same amongst titles. Same across the board really, not much genre-defying for quite a while. Outer Worlds, Fallout, and so on just differ by visuals and story, the g

This is so critical to my internet use, I plan to maintain a fork. No new features, no distribution, just minimum changes to make it run on FF desktop. I don't have the time to do it justice, and I expect others will do a better job of

Having disposed of a PowerMac G3 running System 9 this week, this strikes a chord with me. I'm already regretting it. Despite the age and 'underpoweredness' of it, it was still quicker, still more responsive, and still subjec

I still use mine actively. It can only hope it remains usable, even though I no longer use Mac (iOS only nowdays) and the talk of needing to change settings occasionally is disturbing. I don't see why they need to kill it. As an aside,

A few things strike me immediately here: 1. Whole sections of the license are missing, such as section 5 - it's just not possible to agree to something in this state. 2. It's governed by the laws of Texas, so internationally that&

The only time I've ever lost my wallet was out of cargo pants because the pockets were too big and loose. I'd definitely try a pair of these trousers as I hate sitting on my phone, but I'd still want regular front pockets too

Google banning it is almost an endorsement for me. Anything the Chocolate Factory hates can't be all that evil. Joking asides, this is a weak way to promote the fact they have a competing tool.
