i guess your take is that to be effective, a person has to do the emphasis on the elements that are important, not a program. fair call.

i only have one template at the moment. nothing release worthy, it uses svg for the template. i am building an internal system at the moment and wondered if it is worth trying to make one that is open to others to use

it would start with templates, then a web service that takes json as the data to populate the templates. and outputting a pdf ( or maybe other output types as well ).

predominately via templates. pass in data via json. hopefully it can be made really simple for the coders to use.

i guess it would depend on the budget you have in mind. i bet lots of startups on HN would sell a share of their biz to get some cash.

I get a lot of resumes, a large number of them are just not suitable, I think of them as being close to spam. You should think of them like that to. there is a fair chance the 40 year olds are applying for roles that don't suit them, espec

i like your article. good and pragmatic while still keeping clean separation in mind. IMHO the business logic mixing in with persistence or other areas such as the model can and should be improved from all the code i have seen over my care

Getting a technical co-founder can be easy. There are plenty of talented techies that have already got a product ready to go or nearly ready that need someone to go out there and pitch and sell it. look for them. Ask on HN if anyone has
