I don't think he was even saying they were paying $20M in server costs. He was saying that if their claim that they're missing out on $20M in potential revenue from those users is correct, they should buy the app for $10M and make

I was surprised after MH370 that there isn't a beacon or flight recorder on the surface of the plane, that's buoyant and detaches on immersion. Though I assume the engineering and regulation means such a thing has a decade+ lead t

This move by reddit is so crazy I can't help but wonder if they're lighting all this user goodwill on fire in the hopes of improving their negotiating stance with folks using reddit for other things (like OpenAI and others trainin

There's also a huge opportunity in taking concepts that are working well elsewhere, and building them for the specifics of your market. For an early example, see Trademe in NZ (basically better rebay, and still completely dominant). If

Seems like the perfect application for some kind of first pass (in the ambulance, even) automated ML diagnostic, given the data is 2D, well characterized, and mostly repeating. Edit: aha-- https://www.nature.com/articles/

This is a pretty cool idea, at least to experiment with. If you use ZSH, I made a ZSH plugin version based on the article: https://github.com/antonjs/zsh-gpt

Circuit breakers trip when there's too much current going through the circuit (enough to melt the wiring for example), and so protect from short-circuits: hot and neutral touching each other, or a short in equipment. GFCIs protect agai
