Micro-services are part of a system, so to create anything meaningful with them your context window has to include knowledge about the rest of the system anyway. If your system is large and complex, that means a huge context window even if

I guess you have to ask yourself, what truely gives value in life? The answer is that value is subjective, and this person is wasting his time no less or more than you or I.

The former have the mentality of being independent, at the cost of their ability to produce a result as quickly. The latter are happy to be dependent, because the result is more important than the means. Obviously this is a spectrum.

If you have lots of backend services, building a gateway API (aka BFF) using GraphQL is really nice. Your GQL handles composition of all the resources into exactly what the client needs for something, without having to define a REST endpoin

No, you’re not. You’re building specialised tools for each job. Also with GQL you can separate by business domain as opposed to consumer for example your customer apps/website could use one gateway, and your back office app could use a

It's trying to maintain definitions of things we love that are resistant to being lumped in with commercial parties, and hold the things we love about them as an important distinction. When I think "rave" I don't think a

Once you can basically have it run and benchmark the code, and then iterate that overnight, it’s going to be interesting. Automating the feedback loop is key.

IMO the best places to find music at the moment other than friends are record stores, Bandcamp, and slsk. I've found some decent stuff due to streaming services and algorithms but it's just so lazy and convenient.
