What kind of applications your team are working it? How's the overall development process felt? I'd like to know the reason to choose Haskell over other languages.

At least in Indonesia, computer science degree overall is still popular. Of course, in general the curriculum is pretty math-heavy. Some may say "too theoritical". In the end... most of us work as software developer/engineer,

I think both are valid approach of understanding the problem. Recursion, on the other side, needs some basic math introduction.

I think the list is fine, assuming you write the usual user apps. The tricky part is for doing kernel programming (not something I do for work anyway, just a hobby). Things just easier on Linux. So, add VirtualBox to the list :D

Hmm no idea. I only build 1 OS on my Mac: https://github.com/mit-pdos/xv6-public . It obviously won't compile with Apple's gcc (which actually is a clang wrapper), so have to install another compiler (i386-elf

Seems like Apple's ld doesn't support the `-T` option. Installing i386-elf-gcc and i686-elf-gcc don't solve the problem either. Let's setup a Linux VM...
