I'm sure every 'asshole' will sooner or later be diagnosed, at least in US. Might as well declassify every diagnosis not related to obvious physical damage back to the level of 'assholes needing cultural education'.

As for dropbox, its only upside is great mobile apps, for other tasks SpiderOak works for me. Actually, I have both and have SpiderOak put everything I often need on mobile into Dropbox.

Exactly the thing I'd like to use in our company's dashboard, missing the webdev fluency to apply things like d3.js. Moreover, generating JS from templates feels like a hack, and delivering separate JS docs via Ajax is somewhat more complex

Semicolons are a triple cognitive overhead (errors from omitting them, irritation that they add no value in well-formatted code, and ability to write very poorly formatted code), where their absence has the only overhead of unnatural ways o

Don't say "a functional language" when you mean Strongly Typed languages with a specific type system. I.e. not Clojure or Scheme.

There's no enforced contract for a particular type, but a way to create entirely new values that have no relation to any existing value. I.e. you compare a value to MyEnum.SpecialUndefined and are sure that no None or 0 will yield True. OTO

Similar task solved in Java, though for interactive CLI. There it's much more needed, for we don't have argparse and the language's just too verbose. https://code.google.com/p/cliche/

I'm gonna call Hegel on this one. This is a rather good presentation of a marginal point of view, and as such it has led to one of the most constructive discussions about team communication here on HN, revealing the entire spectrum (which i

Does codeblocks have advanced code manipulation tools, i.e. refactoring support (in the presence of complex templated code)? It's an extremely complex problem for C++, and JetBrains seem to have the right brains to solve it.
