Do you have a source? It sounds interesting and I always want this to be true, but with the natural circadian rhythm slightly longer than 24h and just the fact that most cultures adopt mono/biphasic (”siesta based”) sleep it seems surp

I’m using SQLAlchemy in my job, and have worked with Python for many years. Never have I seen a good case of someone using SQLAlchemy to hydrate objects from raw SQL queries. I’ll definitely admit — I have not gone out of my way to search f

You could as easily write: We spent 4 months building a software system, running experiments, writing an academic paper, and submitting it to a journal for publication. So now we are done. The end. Right? Yes! This is what I call stopping a

I did pretty much the same during a longer dip. I guess it's a way of dealing with the always-on fight-or-flight mode, so you exercise way more than your body is able to recover from and only end up digging yourself further down. Now t

Alright, I'm going to miss the point entirely here, but I'm swinging any way: if I recall correctly, Kumar had basically studied and become a doctor, but was scared to take the final test due to his fathers pressure yada yada some

I really wish there was a... "casual" or "slower" replacement for Twitter. I created a Twitter account and followed my favorites, unfortunately I keep getting "outrage" tweets recommended. Funny, it's like

>plants prefer higher CO2 Correct. >rising CO2 is actually likely to do more good than harm to ecosystems. Incorrect. There's many cases where this clearly outweights the benefits, such as the acidification of the ocean, but also

Unnecessarily harsh rant: senior staff/principals engineers who haven't operated (or been on-call) for anything important come to evangelize. I suppose this is mainly a thought for projects like neondb/cockroachdb/stackg
