I am not at all concerned about this problem. At this point, society mostly need people as consumers, so quality is not as important as it used to be (in democratic countries it's a bit more complicated because people vote - but this i

Why doing so? When there are so many people irrationally against something, there's always some upside in being closer to truth than the crowd. It's arbitrage.

JFYI, consumer debt to GDP ratio is at the lowest level in a generation. There's really nothing at all concerning about household debt load and of all principal types of loans there is only one that is problematic: student loans. But i

Why are stocks relevant at all if the US is the largest producer and a 3rd largest net exporter? It's not like there's any chance that there will be oil shortage in US.

But as progress happens, role for politicians and public perception to play shrinks. Subsidies supported by voters and taxpayers can push something from 1% to 5% but they can't make it go from 20% to 80% - any economy will be bankrupt

Electricity consumption in Germany is down from 2014 actually. And the study was about electricity system with no fossil fuels at all, and assumed no addition of hydro (or storage).

Yes sure renewable based energy system isn't possible on solar alone, it also takes a lot of wind and some hydro+biomass/biogas. Kombikraftwerk study simulated it back in 2014 and results were not so bad.

This is still very, very little. Battery installations need to go another 10x up for proper energy transition, and solar installations as well, at least 5x.
