I am in the strictly "not worried" camp, on the edge of "c'mon, stop wasting time on this". Sure there might be some uproar if AI can paint a picture of mohammed, but these moral double standards need to be dealt wi

Since the discussion started in the comments already, I have a similar question: any recommendations for a solution (don’t care if OSS or not) that has the best UX for nontechnical people to assemble some data and reports anyhow? I have Sal

I have listed a few points here in the other comment: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37596258 as a more general/subjective/emotional note: The very pragmatic take on FP makes code in most cases so much eas

Maybe more like different layers could do different strategies? I can't even imagine what could happen to the BEAM itself if there are the same amount of ressources put on it like in our modern JS engines that have come a loooong way

By this I mean taking the code logic snippets and slap a dedicated new liveview UI on it within your phoenisx app - which isn't too hard since the initial ui in the livebook is pretty bare bones. Yes its rebuilding the whole thing tech

I don't thinks that would be a helpful discussion right here. Any one point there might come someone who points at some external "solution" (package, tool, ...) that might also do the same feature in some way for X, ignoring

While I agree with the sentiment, there are two superpowers in the mix for me (pun intended): 1. Erlang / BEAM itself as the runtim with lots of powerful capabilities (what you probably are talking about) - you need to know this stuff

Risk ultimately is a statistics game. There is a certain percent chance of some defined outcome, in this case a bad one. And many factors change the numbers on a daily basis, most of them unknown in advance. I, for one, gladly accept the ri
