From a dev perspective, SF needs to die in a fire … it’s bending over companies left and right to extract hilarious amounts of money, not to mention the sheer pain of having to debug the „no code“ flow garbage.

At some point I stopped playing it (after, well, 100s of hours), because somehow I felt that its only getting harder without me getting any reward outside of the raw challenge itself - which then feels just like working. Is there anything I

I'd stand by the bitter lesson ( http://www.incompleteideas.net/IncIdeas/BitterLesson.html ) here. of course it feels better to do something clever, finetune models, do clever agents or novel algorithms instead, .

I have a similar deploy.sh script for my go projects, with a slight twist: I compile my Go projects to a binary on a github action, scp it to the server, ssh into it and restart - all done in my deploy.sh and the GHA itself only installs Go

I use both on a regular basis for many years now (and some others), and I'd say it depends. Elixir matches the way my brain thinks somehow, with (kind of) pure functions transforming data step by step, and when you can break down some

Actually it’s usable again now. Recently used it for a project with react and SSR and works like a charm. The hype is over, but as of today I‘d still say it’s the most powerful JS framework all around.

depends on how you view/classify production, sometimes yes I do! if I refactor some too complicated bash script into a script.go file and then execute it against production DBs/APIs with a `go run`.

I have hired elixir devs recently, even worse: onsite only, and couldn't help myself with all the applications. And it wasn't like when hiring JS devs that I had to weed out the majority of super-junior candidates first. All aroun
