So true. Ember is the antidote right now for the frontend land. - MVC (Backbone's big thing) - Two way binding (Angular's big thing) - Components (React's big thing) - SSR like the others now (FastBoot) - High performance wit

Strange... Reach out to the maintainers, they act pretty quickly on issues. On my MBP and the ones of my colleagues, plus my windows machines, spacemacs works great and without issues the last couple of months. It even convinced 10y+ vim an

You need the ugly to actually realize beauty. If everyone is beautiful, the word "beautiful" wouldn't make any sense. You could argue that this would be a solution to many discrimination issues today if everyone is beautifu

I'll second this. Meteor is in fact the fastest way to achieve a webapp nowadays. You can learn it in a weekend if you want to, and drafting highly dynamic interfaces is a breeze. If you want to scale later, in terms of code complexi

Actually this was a joke. And yes: If you want to achieve something other than just getting a mediocre paycheck, you should put in the usual extra hours. But afaik there also seems to be a slightly different work mentality here in germany,

Elixir or Erlang provide truly parallel or even distributed code execution. node.js is just concurrent, so it falls flat when doing heavy CPU work. And no, clustering node.js isn't even remotely comparable for anything but trivial API
