It's silly they only compared it to a normal on-screen keyboard and not any other input methods, predictive or not (Swype, etc.). It should be also be noted that their speech tests were done in a controlled, silent environment. I'

OS X can only scale by powers of 2. If your monitor runs at native 4K (3840x2160), scaling ~1.28x renders to 6016x3384 and scales down by 2x to 3008x1692. Your example is at 1.5x (2560x1440), which renders to 5120x2880 and scales down by 2x

No, this is incorrect. It's up to the implementation of the muxer to determine where index information goes, which is typically at the end of the file. This is simply because writing a file is a single pass operation, and you don'

Oh, that's interesting. I've been wanting to use a custom domain just for forwarding, and the enhanced personal plan seemed like overkill. I'll have to look into the limitations of the lite family plan.

Have you actually implemented something following this spec? My experience is that it's somewhat okay-defined for consuming data, but the spec itself is wildly incomplete in the other direction. Looking at the repo and discussion forum

For those interested, Bill Hammack (Engineer Guy) pulled apart a 1970s-era flight recorder in an old video.[1] The one in video, though, gets etched to a roll of tin rather than recorded to a magnetic tape. [1]: https://www.youtu

There is indeed a lot of focus on the screenshot now, but the two column layout wasn't that great either. For example, videos with long prefixes would make the right half of the layout useless: http://i.imgur.com/7L8nB7

No, many people get this wrong. Mainline is stable, and http://hg.nginx.org/nginx/ is dev. The labeled stable version is for distros that have strict upgrade policies. nginx recommends using mainline over stable: "

How prevalent is `try` in rails/activesupport? My benchmarks show that the lonely operator is ~2x faster than `try`. I'd expect someone to create a gem that monkey patches `try` for those running 2.3.0.

I was curious, so I checked different distros. Debian-based distros set `without-password`, and others use the default `no`. * Arch Linux (openssh-6.9p1-1): #PermitRootLogin no * CentOS 7 (openssh-server 6.6.1p1-12.el7_1): #PermitRoot
