DDoS'ing hospitals and swatting are both crimes. The groups involved do have a lot of overlap, but /b/ does not allow illegal content or conspiring to commit crimes. Trolling AA isn't criminal, it's just stupid. T

/b/tard here. If you do public stuff on the internet, it's practically the obligation of the internet to show up and do something stupid. As far as I can tell, somewhere over the last 15 years, people began to confuse "

Neat job. Question you might know the answer to: I've noticed it's a pretty common practice to get appointment reminders with caller ID from the doctor's office. I like that feature. I'd imagine there are plenty of oth

That's excellent advice. Here's less reasonable advice that I've also found works well: bait toxic people into bad behavior. Figure out what gets the biggest response out of them while looking super reasonable yourself. Try

Thanks. I've had pretty good luck so far. I would not want to be managing 3x the team size with 3 different repos to build my crappy CRUD app. Keep in mind that I'm not trying to do anything revolutionary here. I just work for

I've only had to dive into the native code a handful of times, but I do basically make an ugly CRUD app. Most apps are ugly CRUD apps though. I haven't used the Shopify app, but it probably falls into that category too. > Wha

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't realize md didn't use the parity checks unless there's a URE. Is it correct to say that ZFS parity is used to reconcile on each read even without UREs, but with md parity is only used w

My point is that it's not a problem. I can take someone fresh out of bootcamp with a basic understanding of react components and css and get them churning out code that works on 3 platforms.

That makes sense, but mdadm also scrubs weekly on a cronjob. Is there something about ZFS that makes corruption more recoverable than mdadm's RAID?

I might be misguided here (please correct me), but I feel like ZFS and hardware RAID had their place pre-SSD, and now they don't make much sense. If you want an array of disks with a mutable configuration, I think the right choice is m
