   No it's not, they quoted some telemetry but the feature and decision may have been decided way before then. The data may only be a justification for it.

   I wouldn't. I work for myself and I gave away 50% of my income to work by myself on my own product. I wouldn't go back to working for someone else for 20%, not 100 or even 300% more income.

   Because being a purist and trying to solve all problems with a single paradigm isn't realistic nor good. The world is multi-paradigm. Why not use a language that gives you the flexibility to use functional concepts when appropriate and

   You're making an assumption that their decision was based on data they collected. Not worth discussing data privacy with you over that-- they may have very well done simple user testing or done it on a whim of a few users that put a go
