Just mutual admiration society. It's a parentheses hell and good only for self flagellation. It does have a sense of elegance and can be fun but again, the parentheses hell would be enough of a turn off once you start writing long prog

I wonder how it would be if Rust, like Scala came with a very basic executor? For me external crates no matter how popular, seem a no-go because of them constantly changing.

In general Java's ubiquity means that a lot of substandard programmers know java. Nothing wrong with the language per se.

I'd compare with a house. A hotel is stuffy and has no room for expansion. You build whatever you want in your house.

Total cost of your extreme scenario- 2T usd. Tot cost of a more reasonable scenario- a single employee, total cost 500K per year. For 10 years this would be 5M. Which is indeed less than 1/ten thousand cash on hand.

Something similar (and less of a parentheses hell) is Scalatags by the amazingly prolific scala programmer lihaoyi. The good things about Scalatags is that the same code can be used both in the backend and in the frontend. (I don't use

I am no expert and I wish there were a start from 0 guide with examples not involving external crates but my sense is that you can write your own executor and do whatever you want. (Maybe I'm wrong?)
