Jihadi-sympathizing.... I have no words. No wonder he never cared when muslims murdered Christians in Nigeria this year. Just 50 in Easter.

Actually fairly simple. Killing someone for insulting Christianity => goes against Christian theology. Killing someone for insulting islam/moe => completely in line with Islam.

Literally. As Christians are being massacred in Africa at the hands of muslims, as Christianity is besieged, all he did was simp for one group in specific and scold everyone else. Even scolded Greece for not wanting to share the same fate a

Went to Jesus in a keffiyeh, that in itself is atrocious!!! Then simped for jihadis. Plenty of similar stuff. It's hard to blame all the catholics that are sighing in relief hoping for a better successor.

Don't know about that. I'm not a catholic and still view him in a much more favorable light than Francis. I think maybe it's just some progressives (and related groups) who liked Francis a lot for many of his positions.

Exactly, and as a pope far more respectable. Even non-catholics like me could sympathize with the dismay of so many catholics at many of the positions/blunders of Francis.

Interesting, I always considered him possibly the most unpopular pope of recent times and understandably so. If I were to say one pope that many have been fond of, it's probably John Paul II.

I started them but dropped them and went straight for: - Engineering a Compiler - Programming Language Pragmatics - Crafting a Compiler Quite doable, particularly if you focus on one and supplement with the other two.

I think there is a bit of a false equivalence going on - Roman elites held immense power with far fewer human rights constraints compared to modern wealthy individuals. No, I do not accept hyperbolic wailing of the "being a wagie is li

The very short gist of it is a trade-off between (low quality, high quantity) and (high quality, low quantity). R-selection: emphasis on high numbers / growth. K-selection: emphasis on high quality.

For me, r/k selection applied to human behavior broke my mind. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Be it dating or comparing cultural approaches to relationships, etc.

I remember going down the "dead internet theory" rabbit hole of reddit and it was gruesome. Tons of people who are actually paid to go through conversation scripts, push narratives, etc.

I honestly would not be surprised if we ended up returning to a more fragmented EU, it's becoming quite a mess. Personally, I absolutely love if we could have something looser, like a "Common European Area": freedom to travel

Controversial, but I found just going through the docs, attempting to write my own flake, throwing it at ChatGPT and asking it to review it and give me feedback was enough to get started. I never ask it for code, just to review code - keeps
