Very cool photos, nice to see rocks from a perspective I'd not seen before. I came across this recently - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermoluminescence where it sounds like some rocks emit light upon heating.

Very cool! I'm curious when it says "did you know that accessing a random element in an array takes linear time", why that's the case, with bash?

Has anyone come across many distributors for HD108 LED strips per chance? I've found only the bare LEDs on Aliexpress currently.

Has anyone used something like the FiiO CP13, I'm looking to play back and digitise some old cassette recordings. I've tried buying some old cassette decks from ebay before, but had problems with it starting to chew the tapes, so

Heh yeah, I split the area to be imaged into squares, and run autofocus in the middle of the square. Then use a 'snake' like XY pattern across that square to create images. But I need to dramatically increase the speed of this pr

I just added an extra image where you can see contours being drawn around the 'pits' of the CD-ROM. I need to improve the speed of the autofocus etc. before I can image a whole CD heh.

By SLA, does it mean resin printing then using some kind of metal coating process? Or could you use something like SLS/SLM to print the whole model in metal?

Are new drum scanners still being made out of interest? It appears fairly hard to find used ones. They sound a bit awkward to use from what I've read, as I think you need to use liquid to adhere the film to the drum correctly?
