Interesting, seems like something every digital camera should have the ability to do by default. Although, the privacy issues could be a larger concern in some instances. Such as a source to news paper ect... if not applied it could be used

It's just sad apple does not let owners to do this with their device by default. We had to wait for a bootrom exploit.

I am not a fan of RPKI since it's centralized. I guess better than nothing, but what I find annoying is that IP protocol has the ability for source routing. So instead blinding trusting routes in BGP, clients/nodes who knows the r

There are dependencies to build a program, and dependencies to run it. Sure a static binary can run without any run time dependencies if written to run on bare metal (without an OS). Although, you could go further down that rabbit hole an

Like that point is fair, but almost no C code has no dependencies. Like just a basic application that returns 0 and nothing else from main will need to link to crt0. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crt0 However, you can

While I an not a fan of google for a lot reasons this decision is pretty wacky. This ruling says google must provide a service, but they must also pay those who use it... How does this make any sense. It’s akin to the government forcing som

The IETF has shown it's self less prone to rubber stamping. W3C is a whole other case. Problem is unlike IETF which anyone can chime in on a standard. W3C is members only and most the members are companies. Most these companies use goo

I would concur, but there are not many non-licensed bands. So all sorts of traffic is more congested in those. If there were more unlicensed bands I think it would probably improve those use cases. I think both types are quite important.

The one thing I like about QUIC being more wide spread is that it is making network operators treat UDP traffic more fairly. However, I don't see it replacing TCP, and if anything it's just an other tool to use.

This is better than a hash table for membership testing. As for compared to table scan depends on your key size and number of keys. This algorithm means you could easily have more than 10k especially for larger keys, and still likely resi

I don't see this idea working, but normally alcohol also has sugars in it. Even distilled alcohol has sugars. Inhaling sugar sounds like a great way to cause other problem. If this were to have any success the alcohol would have to be

I think VSTs pass native resources to the plugin. However, there are VSTs without GUIs, but this says nothing about what other APIs a VST may use. I imagine there might be some VSTs that don't use a GUI that can run.
