From their last one: > Since that interview, Comet Daily has started publishing an article every day. This is a great step forward. Now we need to post every relevant article to Hacker News, Programming Reddit, Slashdot, and any other n

I've made my position clear on this ... endeavour elsewhere: http://reddit.com/info/2255i/comments/c226il I see it's been reduced to a made-for-TV film now.

Interesting stuff there, I may have a poke around later. Like the simple storage API too. It seems against philosophy of this thing, but I'd like to see something similar that allowed for more separation of code and html/js/css etc. (I thin

I suspect it's more about easing people into MS products in the first place. Hundreds of thousands, maybe millions eventually, of people being exposed to their first computer and what does it have in it at the moment?

I've more than once found myself in this sort of "recursive version hell". All you can do is learn from it. > All this time spent installing and twiddling with Java on a dev box and on a server is just money down the toilet as far as I'

I agree with on the reddit point, it seems to have fallen into the trap of each article vying for attention and becoming a pit of exaggerated headlines toeing the party line. Run away! I don't think that functional programming languages are

Ease yourself in. Either by just filling in that difficult piece of code with comments outlining what it should do and fill it in line by line, just sketching it out on a pen and paper. Or, just promise yourself that you'll do just 5 minute

There seems to be a group of people intent on submitting everything that appears on reddit or digg and it's sad. Can't we get more unique links rather than this whole sloshing around of whatever's going around as email attachments?

You write it in Java and then it's compiled to their own proprietary virtual machine - Davlik. Rather than Jython, I'd hope for a tool that would turn python straight onto Davlik bytecode. Hopefully there should be either documentation/sour

Don't think it's there for money - search Google for "reddit" or "ycombinator news" and you'll see that the most obvious site result for those terms is put in a <link rel="prefetch" ...>. It doesn't seem to appear for things that do

No it's just a trend. Along with e-this, i-that and trying to fit @ into your companies name to make it sound technical. Plus the lack of short urls these days.

Not so stupid, I'm sure there are a lot of people who judge the quality of software by its price. The more I look at this auction, the more I'm in awe of it's dastardly brilliance. You don't actually get anything from the auction, you just
