Off topic (and a bit "hijack someone's post") but I keep thinking about the inherent suckiness of visual programming and what needs to happen to improve it. I think the core problem is that - unlike text-based programming - t

How about the fact that other people cared and were upset? You can dismiss a tree's feelings on account of it not having any. But are you dismissing the (presumably) genuine distress of multiple people?

Of what? You assume I just go to famous landmarks and take typical photos of them? A small fraction of my photos chorus be obtained online. Most are fairly unique.

I don't want photos of me popping up in my holiday photos. I want things that reminds me of where I went, not my poor fashion choices when abroad!

Different cuts of lamb do differ in flavour. In fact I'm often disappointed when I order lamb and it's not... lamb-ey enough.

Why do you say this? I've eaten it and enjoyed it and it's commonly eaten in many places.

In the UK, lamb is pretty much an everyday meat (well - every week...) but goat is regarded as pretty exotic - common mainly in Afro-caribbean takeaways or restaurants. (I'm from the South-East so this might not be true in other region

Well. Ballard?

His prescience isn't what makes him interesting. In many ways he is writing about the past and the present. He is unique for his tone. "Ballardian" conveys something immediately recognisable to anyone that's read more th

As a 15 year old and avid science fiction reader, I used to badger my English Lit teacher constantly. He always maintained that Ballard was one of very few SF writers he liked and one of the few that he felt were good writers on a technical
