I don't want to see this fail by any means, but to me it seems like a slightly immature response to a [very public disagreement][1] The Oatmeal had with a Forbes journalist, which involved a [very unusual retort][2]. [1]: http://www.forbes

In my opinion comments are a bad idea for your site, unless you're fortunate to have an exclusive audience. Yes, I am aware of the irony of this comment.

No excuses here, but who would have thought that male hormones and alcohol would lead to such behavior.

What makes you think they haven't tried and failed to make it work (well) on mobile? Maybe in the cost benefit analysis it would be better to devote time and resources on HTML toolsets.

Not really surprising, in my opinion once these organizations become large enough that diffusion of responsibility become institutionalized. It doesn't necessarily indicate that the individuals don't care, just that they feel that it isn't

Great! When are you going to start working on it? Without the individuals willing to put in the work then directions like this are pointless, however well intentioned. Since no-one attached to the development of Textmate has expressed any i

Wow, how long did it take to write this article, given the news of Textmate 2 going open source is only hours old? If I was cynical, I'd be guessing that the topical headline was a fairly shameless attempt to gain attention from website agg

Pretty damning, I'm confident that all the mobile manufacturers do this against each other, why wouldn't they? It just sucks to be Samsung right now.

An extremely noble goal, but I'd say it was unlikely for a reason not mentioned in the article, but heavily implied: this would be a one-way trip. Whilst creating and maintaining a Mars base would be one of humanity's crowning achievements,

The Samsung F700 sure looks like an iPhone, at a distance, until you try to type on the thing and realise it has a pull-out hardware keyboard. How did that work out for successive designs? It makes you wonder if Apple really was copying off

I'm sure Apple, or the ad agency commissioned by them, have focus-grouped the heck out of these already. I can't think what value people commenting exclusively in the tech blogosphere, well intentioned or not, have much to add in respect to

Poverty is like slavery in a very flippant sense. You only have to read some of the first-hand accounts of human trafficking to get the sense of the difference.
