There are a lot of studies that demonstrate taking daily Vitamin D supplements reduces the likelihood of lung infections. Moreover, the first double blind clinical trial on Vitamin D and COVID-19 was published [0] which had astonishing resu

My assumption was the each individual led chip will re-transmit the signal to the next led, which in effect will turn the 3.3v signal into a 5v signal between the 1st and subsequent leds. The power lines do sustain voltage drop over longer

Does it have to be an ESP? There are other microcontrollers capable of driving an eink display that consume a lot less power out-of-the-box. Eg: atmega328 (~5 μA deep sleep, ~10mA running) If you want wifi, then ESP is probably a good and c

For the software part, WLED [0] really does just about anything you’d want to do with those led strips. I drive the wemos d1 and led’s from a 12V battery with a 12-5V stepdown converter. I attach the 5V to the esp and the led’s. The 3.3V lo

(i don’t live in the US) this is insane. What’s the rational for extracting people from their environment by force? And worse, what’s the rational for recording the person who gave the advise and punishing them for it? I genuinely don’t und

The shared medium (frequency spectrum) is what can add latency. If a device wants to talk over Wifi but another device is transmitting it has to wait. This introduces (variable) latency, aka jitter. Here's an anecdotal example for you,

Many European countries implement that baseline quality of life at the country/government level. What you are hinting at has a name, and it's called socialism. Some people in those European countries do complain about high taxes.

Yes, and Troy mentions this in the comments of the blogpost. He's open-sourcing it so the community can help him manage the project, which I think is a fair request/hope.
