That is referring to the “jump to error line” functionality, which is editor-specific. I should make that more clear.

On morality: given how widespread the piracy is, we probably shouldn't assert that the moral side of the things is obvious here. Regarding the law, that's one way to look at that. Another way is that the role of copyright is about to change

Actually, English wikipedia does not seem to mention that, and the Russian one says that not only Chikatilo did not have mismatched AB types of blood and sperm, but also that the condition has been proven to be genetically impossible (citin

Thanks. I guess this makes sense: I can migrate from the App Store later if I'd want to.

Would pay even more for a service that can be used to periodically change my passwords on all sites (not only in emergency).

Genuine answer is that you might want to try a tool like MacRabbit's CSSEdit first, which applies your changes without even saving. You get used to seeing the result instantly. My motivation for building LiveReload has been to get the same

I'd love to add GUI support for that, but there are more important tasks that would help many more people (like, polishing the Mac ver and making a Windows one). For remote server use cases, I recommend guard-livereload. It uses my browser

Unfortunately it also spins up your fans and eats up your battery. (Also I've built the GUI tool when I got tired of firing up stuff in Terminal each time I start working on a project.)

On the other hand, there does not seem to be a way to contact a HN user unless you specify your email in your profile. Let's just hope “LR on Windows” will make it to HN home page some day too.

Sure, will let you know! (Some time early next year, I guess.) Meanwhile, as other point out, you can use guard-livereload on PC if you don't mind installing Ruby.

Everyone who does web development benefits from this, starting with myself. Have your browser side-by-side with your editor, save your CSS, boom.

I will have a prominent link to guard. The site is very much alpha and has been built overnight. My plan is to deprecate the old livereload gem and point people who want a free/command-line version to guard-livereload.

Sure, Node is a nice platform, did not imply otherwise. For a certain category of apps it helps to know the limits beforehand, though (I've described my use case in another comment). I think this particular limit deserves to be more widely

My line of thought is that V8 is used in Node.js and in the browser, but 1 Gb is unlikely to be a problem for the browser any time soon, so it's really only a problem for Node.js. Am I missing something?

To add my own perspective: I was running some analytics batch job on Node and hit this limit, had to add multi-stage processing to accommodate it. Using --max-old-space-size=1900 did help a bit. In case you're wondering, here's a test case:
