The presentation from OP is difficult to use. Press the triangle in the lower right of the page, or the right arrow key.

Ok, now I see the problem the author is trying to solve. Thanks for clearing that up. I think from an HTTP perspective, the right way to solve this is to use vendor specific content types and have the OS resolve whether to open it in an ap

I'm surprised we would want HTTP URLs for this. Especially since, as this article is written, no HTTP requests are ever being made. Why not have an ios:// (or android://) prefixed URL, and have whatever follows tha

Actively managed funds struggle to beat the market over the long term. There's a lot of evidence that passive investing (i.e. just buying a low-fee index fund) is the way to go right now for most investors. The presence of active mana

The standard of living we all enjoy today is due to billions of people doing things they consider work and not "antiwork". If we can live in a world like ours where everyone is doing "antiwork" instead of work, that woul

I'm always surprised to see articles like this upvoted on Hacker News. Not that there is anything wrong with the content, but it surprises me that it is popular on a forum relating to startups and technology.

Great answer to a complex question. Follow up question: if using the euro has tied the monetary hands of Greek policy makers (they cannot create currency), can they accomplish the same goals of currency devaluation using fiscal policy (tax

As long as Hospitals and Law firms continue to hire competent Doctors and Lawyers, this would be a win for society. More people getting health care or access to the legal system, at lower prices, would be a good thing for society. And I do
