My open source game is Electron+PhaserCE+Typescript+Webpack. I tried to avoid webpack since I knew compile time would be an issue for my other team members and it turned it out it was. As a web-dev I'm use to its workflow but onboardin

Navicat has a high price tag but its still a better tool and I wish everyday if I had to use a GUI it could be Navicat over TablePlus. TablePlus looks good but its design is confusing and downright stupid.

I'm for the Northwestern Ontario, or as we think of it as the "truth north" up and down are directions. Also we say pack sack instead of back pack.

I have been trying to spin up projects for years since my early teens and the best project I've have had traction on so far is my open source Tetris Attack-like clone. I think it has come the farthest then any of my previous projects b

Here in Toronto I always ask, have you looked at the source code I shared? And the answer is no. I have lots of source code open to private to share, and its just because I'm a workaholic, though I find having source code doesn't

Its quite frustrating as a Canadian web-developer. There are plenty of remote jobs that I would qualify skill and experience wise in the US that are for 120K USD. But they won't hire remote Canadians because its a hassle for some reaso

As a chid I was told I was smart, as you suggested and to fit the description of what I was labeled, I resorted to chronically lying about my skills to measure up. There's no sliver bullet to this problem.

I think the best in the series on AOM, felt like a streamlined version, though that game requires no cloning. I only have faint memories of AoE II and at the time never had a powerful enough computer for AoE III. I can never get the iconic

To be honest I can't even tell that I've been down voted. I never thought to bother posting my clone to hackernews and likely wont unless I do a postmortem when the game has been released and if I have something worth reading. My

I'm working on my own open-source game as a Tetris Attack clone. https://github.com/omenking/swap-n-pop/ What I'm always surprised is the lack of tooling and test code and I'm of the belief that in

I think the show has excellent character building which makes you invested in the show. Giving them backstories, intertwining their relationships. There's no waste is this this show. Dann who appears as a background character and broug

I really wanted to buy into Meteor. It felt like the second coming of Rails. I just couldn't get onboard with something I couldn't plug SQL into. A psql adapter never came.

Ever since Elance merged with ODesk to make Upwork getting online work has dried up, and so I have to rely on my personal network. With Elance you'd get leads for jobs, and take them offsite. Its not that I wouldn't want to use th
