I’m the guy who built the server end of Apollo. I can tell you that there would be no problem paying for API usage. In fact, it would have been welcomed, as this is a sure fire way to support the service you depend on.

This! I have a Brother B&W laser printer/scanner that does exactly what it's supposed to do -- print and scan. It works with CUPS drivers, macOS detects it fine, even Windows. No bloated drivers to install that send a bunch of

Microsoft has basically become a hostile software company. All of this aggressive and constant insistence to use their stuff just so that some line on some VP’s graph goes up. This is what we get when incentives are misaligned.

Not really. I stream wirelessly with Moonlight (NVIDIA software streams on my PC) and it’s not noticeable at all, even for shooters.

Ergodox EZ isn’t the cheapest but it’s all setup for you. Hotswap switches too, so you can replace them later if you want to change the feel.

Funny. This is exactly why I left a certain e-commerce company. Good on them.

Check out ADOM (Ancient Domains of Mystery.) It’s been around for a long time and has a great story to it.

I’m not knowledgeable at all, but I suspect there would be a DAC I could buy that’d make my iPhone sound just as good. Am I way off base?

Thank you for reminding me, I've been meaning to wishlist this for a while. Excited they finally have a release date set!

That’s the problem with throwaway accounts. They’ve got so much conviction they won’t even dare use their real handles. Don’t feed the trolls.

It could be DNS. I had to disable DNSSEC for the `.apple.com` zone to even work.

I would even say that it’s not a clean story of an encrypted messenger. Not when your phone number is associated with it.

They’re super hard to find in NA, I think. Love their products tho.

No. This is hard coded into the management interface.

The “hosted” interface is nothing but a proxy to my paid for cloud key. I also see this when I access it locally.

Their hosted version is only acting as a proxy to my physical paid for cloud key. If I access it locally I also get this shit.

Somewhere an engineer was tasked to write software that does an inventory of my network to see what new shiny hardware of theirs I don’t yet own. Then, the software that was written to manage a product that I paid for shoves a call-to-actio

How is pegging and selling the successor to what I have not making ad revenue? The difference is that they’re not selling pixels for money, they’re trading pixels for sales.

Yeah that’s probably why. Wait until they release the successor and you’ll start getting them :-P

The customer service rep isn’t in control of the change. They’re in control of what they tell me, and he was bullshitting. Not really sure what else to tell you.

The funny thing is that I have a UDMP on the way, because one of my APs died and I figured it was time to upgrade the network a bit, but now I'm refusing delivery and sending it back for a full refund.

Agreed. It's not like their hardware is cheap or subsidized either, like the Cloud Key, which is a tiny device that acts as a proxy and has some cache storage for firmware updates that costs upwards of $100 here.

How is it misleading? Can you explain to me what the difference between "promoting an update to their own product" and an ad? This is an ad, pure and simple. They're pushing a product they know I don't own with a clear c
