Don't completely remember but I think most of the time coding then spent the last 10-30 minutes thinking through what questions they might ask, what I would do if I had more time, etc.

I think a better interface for computers for blind people would be really cool. I have a lot of ideas but without a bunch of money saved up or a concrete plan, I don't really have the time, energy to spend my little off time researchin

If your refactoring includes changes to interfaces, different abstractions, logical changes, business logic, then most of your tests need to be effectively rewritten. The only part where I see unit tests being useful for refactoring is maki

Tinder a while back. First and largest part of the interview was 3 hours where they left you alone in a room with the task of implementing a few simple endpoints end to end. Then everyone came back and reviewed your solution and asked ques

I haven't had the energy to sit down and learn something new in a long time. Its all similar enough and after 10+years of seeing code, I don't imagine any wow moments learning anything. Maybe you'd be interested in trying to

It needs to be some integration with the actual provider. You should be able to cancel through your CC, but they ought to get notified you canceled.

There's a few issues with this IMO: 1. Changes often require changing the functionality of a component, which means many of the current unit tests are bunk and need to be updated. Changes that are simply refactoring but should retain t

Its a bit ironic because Turing seems to have came up with the idea of the Turing machine precisely by thinking about how he computes numbers. Now thats no proof, but I dont see any reason to think human intelligence isnt "computable&q

I think the reasoning is very simple. Everything that happens happens in space through time. Intelligent systems must solve problems where they observe what's happening in space over some amount of time, and then predict whats going to

Complex numbers are just 2d numbers and they are mapped on a 2d plane, yeah. They are just a 2d vector. Callling them imaginary numbers is silly in the first place, 2+i is just the vector (2,1), all we mean here are the two numbers are orth

Its not just a matter of mapping, no, but imo its a critical first step. You need a model of space-time. You need to be able to place all the facts into a spatial world following the physical laws. Take this problem, and assume you dont kno

I would argue that spatial reasoning encompasses all reasoning. All the things you mentioned have a direct analogue to abstract models and logic we employ and are engrained deeply into language. For example, shapes containing eachother: The
