It's totally fine that Apple doesn't release this feature for EU customers. If they think they can still sell enough phones it's also fine I guess. What's not fine, is to blame the EU for the missing feature. It's d

Incompetent oligarchs. If you can't even successfully bribe the Albanian or Serbian government, you are just really bad at corruption. Those are (sadly) among the most corrupt countries in the world. edit: the governments appear to be

I have a lot of unread messages on those platforms. And I'm not going to check if it's just stupid memes, or if some more personal messages hide there. Googling my name puts my contact details and phone number on the first page. S

I've found it. I'm quite sure the drop down wasn't there a few months ago. But the sad reality: nobody is posting anything anymore. I follow around 500 real people I know in person, and in the last 30 days they published only

You just discovered OG Instagram. The feed used to be just your friend's posts and nothing else. Maybe an occasional ad, but the first few years it was mostly ad free if I remember correctly.

I used to browse through my instagram feed a few times per month. Just to keep updated about those friends who often posted there. Now it's mostly crappy shorts and I can't even find the "friend feed" anymore. No idea if

I'm not even interested so much on laptop keyboards. I always work on my desktop setup with an external keyboard. It's really hard to get an external keyboard with a track point. For laptops there are a lot of models to chose from

It's totally fine to put the issue number somewhere at the end of the commit message, and not in line 1. Most tools cross-link them as long as #<issue-id> is mentioned anywhere in the message. It's also useful the other way

There is at least a whole line up of models from Lenovo. But for keyboards there is currently only tex.com.tw that sells new keyboards with track point.

I still have a keyboard with a track point I don't understand why they are not popular at all and only a few manufacturers build them. It doesn't replace a mouse for me, but the track point is between the G H B keys and can be rea

It finally puts a number on productivity gain of engineers with AI. This is probably less than 10% of the cost of an average uber developer. So they don't assume much more productivity gain from AI than 10%. (Cost of an employee is muc

Sure, but it's still a huge effort to set up all those partnerships and keep them alive. ISPs are often traditional and slow moving companies, it probably takes a lot of work to get those servers in place at the right locations.

A longhorn volume can only be attached to one node at at time. It can share it with other nodes over nfs. I don't think this is going to scale well. Just use Postgres with ro replicas.

Its exactly what you’re saying. You have a different problem and a different opinion. And your conclusion is that „they are not good at what they are doing“ I’m really no DHH fan, but i think he knows what he’s doing and is also good at it.

If I remember it correctly Omarchy started as an in-house alternative to macOS in one of DHHs companies. And was then released to the public. So the purpose of Omarchy was to get devices quickly set up with some opinionated defaults.
