A long time ago, you somehow needed to reconfirm the flight 48 hours before. Not sure what that function was.

Yes, long life battery, or lighter laptop, that is important. So the logic is, if it lasts 28h when new it will probably last 12h when old?

Who needs 28 hours of battery? I mean the big step is that you can run a an extended working day, lets say 12hours, but at least after 16 hours you should be able to plug it in, shouldnt you; best next to the bed you are resting then.

The old joke comes to mind:'How do you recognize a guitar player in the audience of a concert? They stand in a corner look at the stage and say 'I also could do that' '

I like the idea of iterating from imperative to functional. Here the devils advocate for your if you can do it in python you can do it in haskell: I use quite a bit of numpy, scipy and matplotlib, are there equivalent libraries for Haskell?

At the start forking is like no deal at all. But how do you get new clang tidy features from the main branch later into your fork; I think this is the only instance which I would really call technical debt.

Good thing is there is no halting problem when using 64bit pointers.

Zero. No Turing machine has ever been built. The tape needs to be infinite to be a Turing machine.

What linux distro do you use? I always encountered the problem that after doing some work to get things going everything had to be redone after the next upgrade. Do you expect to have this issue?

I am not posting it because it is xkcd, but it visualizes the simplest trap quite nicely: https://xkcd.com/882/ (also makes you wonder what if 20 groups study this phenomena, each restiricting itself to one color)

I heard that the first approach of google was using/adapting an published algorithm which was used to rank scientific publications from the network of citations. Not sure if this is the algorithm you mentioned though.
