Nice idea, I’ve been toying around the idea of consuming news only once per day. But for me I think I want an actual newspaper with in depth articles rather than short news posts from online news.

The bit about the dog was a good memento mori. You work hard almost your entire life… and then your body gets tossed over the wall.

Suno does have the cover feature, where you can upload your own playing, say playing a simple melody on a guitar, and it will take that and create a song from it, together with lyrics you wrote. So it can be fairly fulfilling. What it doesn

V5 could be built different, and it will take a few revisions until they match v4 “creativity” for lack of a better word. What v5 brings is quality in the recording. Less AI shimmering in the background. But yes, I agree the songs are more…

Cool demo! The first thing that sprung to mind after seeing it, was an image of a busy office floor filled with people talking into their headsets, not selling or buying stocks, but actually programming. If it’s a blessed or cursed image I’

Is this because it’s now a Moe? They now match price with Gemini 2.5 Pro, which is also a moe.

Well, isn’t this a ”build it and they will come” situation? Do what you feel is right and that will communicate to others around you that there’s an alternative.

In the past we used to copy code verbatim from magazines. You have to start somewhere right?

Yes, the eureka moment with LLMs is when they started outputting the things I was beginning to type. Not just words but sentences, whole functions and even unit tests. The result is the same as I would have typed it, just a lot faster.

I don’t agree with this. Too many of us rush around without stopping to think what makes us happy. At least it’s true for me. Being with friends _does_ make you happy. But for some reason it’s hard to find the time for it. In the end it see

I had higher expectations of this. I was hoping they would release an Omni type model that could handle voice input and output voice. Oh well.

For me it’s too easy to go too fast with an LLM helping you. You got to rein it in and do actual PR reviews so you can keep up with what the LLM is doing. That way when you inevitably need to dive down and handle the code, you’re ready to d

For me meditation makes me better at, let’s call it meta-thinking. Being aware of what I’m thinking, instead of just thinking.

Have you tried giving meditation a try? I have no idea if it helps for OCD, but for me it gives space around all the thoughts that’s floating around in my head. That space gives me a bit more freedom to select which thoughts to listen to.

Not OP, but for me what helped the most is the samadi / shamatha meditation where you go into this calm abiding mode. You are calm but alert with the whole body energized. This is a enjoyable state to be in, sometimes _very_ enjoyable.
