I think it's awesome you had the courage to admit that here. There's nothing wrong with just working a job from 9-5 to fund your passions. Programmers tend to take offense at it though, for some reason.

Yep. I don't think this study really took that into account. I'm a software engineer in SV with no degree and it has literally never even been brought up by interviewers.

Just remove your education from your resume. I'm only a high school grad so Im kind of in the same position. The moment I started leaving my education off my resume, no one ever asked about it again.

I think that's actually a really good question. It shows deep knowledge and understanding of everything that is happening during a user interaction which is essential knowledge for a webdev. Plenty of "front end developers" h
