I'd use and support BitMessage but I can't figure out how to get it to run on OS X.

Probably because it's interesting? I never saw the web in its infancy like this. I've spent hours browsing archive.org before to see what the early days of the internet was like back then.

We can assume the new MacBooks will come with Haswell. Perhaps the Iris graphics will be driving the Retina display? Right now the Retina MacBook comes with Ivy Bridge and a separate GPU although I don't know if it uses integrated graphics

The YouTube HTML 5 player is basically done now, it works just as well as the flash one. I wish they would stop "experimenting" and roll this out across the site. They seem to have no timeframe for releasing it.

I never understood why HN has such a peculiar URL for accessing pages. It times out after a while too, is that to stop crawlers?

Is this real? I wonder how the networking gets in/out? AFAIK, there's no port for that. Also, does anyone have a cache? Looks like it couldn't cope with the traffic.

I can use maps that convey significantly less information. Just what I wanted. I know everybody hates skeuomorphism, but I'd take it any day over a map like this.

To clarify, I meant if there was a hidden service. Not if there was functioning exit nodes that can access the website.

Sometimes I wish there was a way to flag a comment and have it pulled while it's investigated. I wonder if there's enough reviews on the App Store to make that impractical. Also, I'd ban people from reviewing apps once they are found to lea

I'm annoyed XP doesn't have IE 9 or DirectX 10+, but I guess that's Microsoft's way of getting people to upgrade to newer versions of Windows. Based on current stats, I'd say IE 8 hasn't got long till you can ignore it but it really depends

I don't code Python so as an outsider it always seemed strange that almost all code was written for Python 2.x - like 3 was unanimously rejected from the community. Can anyone shed light on why this is/was the case?

I can't seem to get the chat example to work on OS X. Does anyone know if it's limited to working on Linux? [Edit] I was using nc 127.0.0.1 so I'm not sure if netcat can't communicate with lo. Also tried SSHing into a Linux box I own, now I
