Bay area and LA drivers are very different. LA driving is more similar to Tel Aviv driving, if you want a taste of home :) Bay area drivers have this weird sense of "lane ownership". They don't change lanes... and they don't let anyone come

Good luck. A small comment: "precision speed" is a slightly misleading term, especially when combined with a percentage measurement."Mouse speed" or "Movement speed" or just "Precision" are best? If the latter, then you can just invert the

Well, percentages aren't even "correct" unless you're saying "percent of total number of points on the front page". Since that total is non-constant, the percentages are almost meaningless. If suddenly someone posts a PG essay, which gets l

Not usually. The way that generally works is this: - You get some competent cells ("competent" means "able to accept external DNA" there are different ways you can make different cells competent) - You place plasmids (circular DNA strands)

I'll summarize how this would be used for those new to biotech: - You buy some primers which are basically chunks of nucleic acid that match whatever gene you want to look at. - You put DNA you've extracted together with these primers into

Any Ham Radio enthusiasts know if anything is coming out of Syria on that channel? Unlike Egypt, this has turned into a torrid brew of sectarian violence superimposed over the political strife. The minority Alawites (of whom the Assad famil

Although not nearly as fast-paced and cinematic, the kinda-badly-written Permutation City by Greg Egan does a much more thorough job of exploring uploading and simulation, imho. Morgan is a wee bit oversimplifying certain aspects, in partic
