Fantastic. I guess you (I'm assuming you work for dotcloud) just need to make it clearer in the docs.

Well, if you use any alarm clocks isn't that the case already? I've been using my wakemate for a few weeks now in a shared bed, but my girlfriend wakes up several hours earlier than me. Since I'm able to ignore her alarm I've never had an i

Awesome, Otto shall arrive home safely quite soon. Though, it looks like you can't serve port 80 from nodejs? That would make it impossible to run normal web applications using node.js on dotcloud, no?

I think you're getting to the point of it: the smile vs. no smile decision is about the default "communicate with me" or "don't communicate with me" posture. This is much like how midwestern and southern visitors perceive northeastern citie

Denny's has free wifi, open 24/7, free caffeine refills, stabbings are quite rare, basically a hacker's dream. So, Denny's Bacon Hack: You can order a side of bacon (4 strips) for about $3 or... order a Grand Slam Breakfast and make all 4

I'm listed as a founder, and there's a link to my LinkedIn profile, but when I login with that LinkedIn auth, I can't edit details about my company. I should be able to :)

Apropos, but not directly pertinent information: male Gorillas range in weight from around 200-400lbs. The Wikipedia entry on Gorillas says they've reached around 600lbs but those were very obese Gorillas in captivity. I certainly understan

Privacy and liberty are closely related in many situations, but aren't prerequisites for each other (e.g. I'd argue that something like David Brin's Transparent Society provides plenty of liberty with 0 privacy). I suspect Thiel subscribes

A lesser known WW2-era legacy is the Japanese Unit 731 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731 which perpetrated horrific experiments upon great numbers of Chinese and some POWs. Unlike the Nazi experiments these don't seem as well known in

Yes, probably. These things are also common in some parts of Europe. For example, I remember being told to beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers in Spain in the 90s.

In most parts of the US such lessons are rare. I grew up in the Middle East where I learned similar lessons. To many here's unthinkable that one can't just leave their bag lying next to them, or some such. Heck, outside of the cities many p

Emphasize effort doesn't mean emphasize effort that lead to bad results. That is, it's not "as long as you put in effort" (which is the approach you're talking about), it's that when there is success the thing that should be praised is th

That sounds like an interesting eggcorn that I haven't heard before, probably derived from "death knell" with echos of "another nail in the coffin". I see that it's been already discussed at the Eggcorn Database forum: http://eggcorns.lasc

I think that is quite inconclusive that Israel is the source. If it is, it's likelier that Stuxnet is the creation of Unit 8200 rather than the Mossad. Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_8200

I'm not certain that's an apples to apples comparison. Entrepreneurship is more about how you do something rather than what you do. Your second paragraph makes more sense: to use one of your examples one can be a Physics consultant, emp
