We had an enrichment program from 65 to 84, but only on a small scale. At a similar time we were also only a week or two away from having nuclear warheads. As a nation the pivot to having nuclear weapons is quite straight forward. The techn

Hi Geoff, I currently build ensemble based modelling solutions for bushfire/wildfire. Weather is a significant component in how fire behaves and is forecast. Whilst I have access commercially to several models and meteorologists throug

In one state I cannot mention, in Australia, there are at least 4000 of these things by the side of the road. During criminal cases its not unusual for a vehicles MAC address to be run through the database of collected data and matched to t

Theres an entire other story here in your comments: ford building vehicles with a plastic oil pan / sump. That it just insane, even by the standards of "engineering says it will work and be cheaper", particularly on a truck &

For those abroad, even the notion of tipping can be absurd. Using that notion as a point of support for a payment system the levies fraud responsibilities onto the merchant and is very easy to circumvent, and the reason most other places mo

On your point about contact less being hit-or-miss, this very much goes away when you have a number of options for vendors to choose from on the market, with terminals being supplied mainly by banks who want the business. Both competition a

This is exactly it. Even the best tools today cannot, and do not monitor all attack vectors. If you can't trust someone to be an employee in a position where they have access to your systems, they should not be in that position.

I wonder what compelled the authors to focus on Java first, given that it accounts for an ever smaller chunk of the code space and market share has been decreasing year on year for quite some time.
