If I ever end up in a position where being able to drive and owning a car is feasible for me, I'm going to get a Kia Stinger GT. It tickles my fancy in a way that no other 4/5-door car below $60k does. I can't think of a sing

You haven't seen Texas. Dallas and Austin are absolutely booming with tech jobs, and we're about as non-transit-oriented as possible. And most of the tech growth is in the suburbs, not the cities.

You can blame how reading is taught in schools. There is nothing that will suck the enjoyment out of a story faster than a high-school curriculum.

It may be different in other countries, but in the US font design cannot be copyrighted. The TTF/OTF files can, and so can the hinting algorithms, but the actual design of the font is legally guaranteed to be copyrightable by anyone. W

What I find to be rent-seeking bullshit is when licenses impose higher fees on using fonts in PDFs over static images. Why? Because a pirate can theoretically extract the TTF/OTF from a PDF, so the licensor needs to be paid extra money

I just wish they'd at least use a humanist sans. I was really sad when Google switched Android's default font from Droid Sans, a humanist sans (and the direct predecessor of Noto Sans), to Roboto, a neo-grotesk. Or when Apple went
