Personally, I'd rather avoid both SV and CH and just live in Texas. $1/sq. ft. ($10.76/m²) is still the norm in Dallas, and it's not too hard to find cheaper. You would pay less money for a decent-size house in the subur

As a trans woman, Spain is also one of the only parts of Europe where hormones are easily accessible, so if I ended up having to live in Europe, no other country would be an option.

When I transitioned to female, one thing I was told early on was that I shouldn't put my tops in the dryer anymore, because the dryer will wreck them. So nowadays I hang-dry all my tops. And one interesting side-effect of my transition

I don't really like talking about real life too much, so I'm hesitant to mention the company by name (you can probably find it in my history though), but I work for an enterprise ISP, and we have cubicles. I'm very happy he

I want a traditional cube farm. I actually work in one right now. I love my company, and pretty much the only thing that could get me to quit would be if they dropped the cube farm and switched to an open office.

That had nothing to do with Snowden and everything to do with Firesheep. I remember people panicking when Firesheep came out, and that lead to the whole "we should all be using TLS" thing.

The purpose of rent control is to keep existing tenants from getting priced out of their homes with annual rent increases, not to make housing affordable for new tenants.

This is not minor. Tampering with a condom behind your partner's back is a violation of their fundamental right to consent. If it's not illegal in other countries, it means something is badly wrong with those other countries.

This is entirely reasonable given that when he was first charged with rape, he fled into an embassy and hid there for years. Flight risks get denied bail, and Assange is a proven flight risk.
