Yeah Bluetooth almost never works reliably for me. If it isn't connection problems, it's dead batteries. I refuse to buy or use wireless keyboards, mice, microphones, speakers, or headphones.

I remember when I was in school and first heard that professional developers average about 20 LOC/day. I thought it was ridiculous, because as a student I regularly banged out much more than that in few hours for class assignments. Lit

I would say it's be smart about it. I use Ansible quite a bit. When I first started, based on some examples I found, my play books were pretty complicated, with a lot of conditional steps, doing things (or not) based on results of prev

> Google Maps can't even do offline navigation and rerouting Yes it can, you have to download the area in advance but I use it offline all the time as I have no mobile data plan on my phone.

I thought in most cases the author is free to provide copies of his/her own articles directly? Is it not true that you could just ask your colleague for a copy of what he submitted for publication?

And how is it that the paper got reviewed and accepted for publication without somebody pointing out the obvious? As a 1980s high school student my first thought of how I'd find the area under a curve with a computer was basically to p

I'd expect conviction rates to be pretty high. It means they are only bringing charges when they have strong evidence. If conviction rates were low I'd be asking why that prosecutor was wasting his time on cases he can't win.

The reference you cite does say the manufacturer settled claims related to "certain instruments and devices used in spine surgeries," but it's not clear to me that these are the same devices referenced in TFA.

If you are hiring a lawyer to help with this, sure you will have to pay his fees, which are probably going to be several hundred dollars at least. Did you try just going into the office of the clerk of the court with the receipt and saying

This doesn't pass the smell test. If you have a receipt from the court showing that the fine was settled, how can they be saying they never got the money? As an aside this is a good reminder to keep forever any receipts for settlements

I basically don't trust the search engine "summary" info that is presented in search results. I always go to the actual website of the business to get contact info, addresses, etc.

Even whole fruits such as apples, oranges, and bananas, have been cultivated over the past few centuries to be much sweeter than their natural counterparts used to be. If you ever eat a truly natural wild apple, it's quite sour.
