In in Paris right now and unfortunately it's still pretty bad. I'm sure there's certain arrondissements that have good access, but it's not the whole city, and riding on the road is so dangerous I only ever see delivery

That's an insult to both engineers, and reverse engineering. "AI Monkey" is pretty good imo if all you're doing is copy pasting responses from an LLM

Ok, then it's not "prompt engineer", it's "researcher" or "analyst".

Your objection boils down to >What if you want to [do software engineering]? Then you're a software engineer. Writing prompts isn't engineering. Building systems is engineering. Just because I use keyboards to program doesn

"Prompt engineering" isn't real. What are you engineering? You're throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks. Software Engineering is kinda fake, especially in industry, but at least that's an actual discipline.

Killing people is bad is not a feeling. I'm sure you can find some rational logic to justify it, but that doesn't make it ok, it just makes you feel less bad about it.

There's plenty of competition for domestic flights in NA imo, there has to be a reason they all charge as much as they do

I don't even know what you're trying to say. The US system is to let poor people die and medium class people go bankrupt. There is no argument you can make that will redeem that. Yes, Canada's healthcare system has problems,

Yes, Canada's system has problems. But any system that discriminates based on class is automatically worse.

Even if legally you're not culpable, you're still responsible for choosing to use a death machine in an environment where it can cause harm to others.

They're not any more expensive than hotels in major US cities. But the original post was about Asia and South America, I just misunderstood.

You can't claim "wait times" as a positive of letting a bunch of people die or go bankrupt Quality is just not true

Huh, in my experience food costs around the same. Maybe fast food is cheaper in NA? Looking at my bookings in northern Europe and US major cities, they're also roughly the same price, but there's a lot more cheap hostels in Europe

I'm very confused by this comment. Travel within Europe is insanely cheap compared with North America because low cost carriers exist and the distances are way smaller, not to mention you can take buses if you're really on a bud

Neighborhoods are built slower than cars are, and the increase in car size has outpaced construction. Sure we should fix our neighborhoods, but they're not the main reason behind increasing car sizes.

Yes! I love hotwire, that's Rails answer to modern frontend expectations. I'm glad we have several options for building modern frontends, I'm very excited to see how things will shake up in the next few years.

Yes, you can build static pages very easily in any of those frameworks, they're great for that. The problem is that as soon as your frontend needs to be dynamic, these frameworks do nothing for you. You can do it on your own by using a
