Glad your piece of the world doesn't have winter. When it's 10F and there's 3 inches of snow, I'll remember this recommendation and laugh in my heated car.

If the NYTimes is calling this period "the Good Times" for anyone, I would hate to see what "Bad Times" will be called.

I disagree with a decent number of things in this article. >Yet for all the pontificating...today I rather see the pattern of a common deserter in Snowden, rather than the champion of free speech that some position him as A person doesn&

I hate snap. I hate how they are being pushed by Ubuntu. Here's the link I followed to completely remove snap from my Ubuntu installation: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1280707/how-to-uninstall-sna...

Great project, but has this been updated in the last 2 years? Apparently, using this build, only a few of the keys actually worked, and that the author was waiting on some parts to try an improved version. Still, a very interesting project,

Take a look at this [0] thread, from a 44 year old person. Often, people discuss their problems more frankly anonymously. Many grown adults are also figuring it out. I have some personal advice, which amounts to: 1) stay in shape/ heal

The US is a bit of a different animal (although it's comparable to Canada, which is what the original article discusses). To my understanding, there are no equivalent "town halls" that can block development - although it does

The point is that this is only one part of the problem. "Wealthy-ish local people" protesting a condo development is not enough to explain this absolute explosion in home prices. The government may be faceless, but there are lots

Well, it's not the immigrants' fault - it's the government's fault. At the end of the day, this confluence of circumstances is its responsibility. The combination of low interest rates, no expansive public transport proj

There are many likely reasons for the explosion in housing prices - but we can't pretend that immigration isn't one of them. A solution will likely need to be multi-factored, but reducing demand by reducing immigration will probab

Look, I understand what you're saying. But I don't mean "learning math", I was referring to a fundamental aspect of someone's personality. If a person is impulsive, then it is hard to become "not impulsive"

I really don't sympathize with your viewpoint. Lots of research shows that it's hard to go against your natural state. You only have so much willpower - for most people it's a finite resource. In that context, your comment

I found my absolute favorite way to write is to use a Rocketbook which is explicitly designed to be used with FriXion pens and then OCR everything. It's really helped me record and then search any ideas or notes I have during the day.

For me, windows 10 will be the last time I use a windows-based OS. For most of my daily needs, Linux has been more than sufficient. I only keep my old windows partition to play certain video games, and even then, WINE is enough. I remember

If 5G was using spectrum way outside the band that these altimeters are supposed to be using... then we wouldn't have this issue. Those 737s aren't new, they certainly had permission to use that spectrum for years and while they m

Wow, this along with potential interference problems in weather radar [0], it's obvious the FCC bungled allocating the 5G spectrum. What a shame that they gave into industry pressure over other practical considerations. However, it doe
